Eamonn did a webinar presentation for the ACS on the topic of the Quantum Paradigm Shift in the IT Sector. His presentation provided insights on how the upcoming Quantum Paradigm shift in the IT sector will dwarf the changes brought about in previous years by 'Personal Computing and the Internet. His presentation was very engaging and his enthusiasm for the topic was evident for all to see.

I recently asked Eamonn Darcy to lead an interactive, STEM education workshop (Quantum 101) for Year 10/11 work experience students. Eamonn is someone who lives and breathes Quantum. He is passionate about the field and this comes through strongly and authentically. It is hard to NOT get caught up in Eamonn’s enthusiasm!
In my role as Education & Training Manager at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, I seek topics and educators who can engage STEM students with “stretch” topics – that is, topics that extend students’ learning outside the classroom. I also seek topics “with a future”, or topics that can springboard into discussions of roles and careers. Quantum hit the mark. And Eamonn was an excellent choice of educator. His breadth and depth of knowledge – and ability to communicate that effectively – is impressive.
