Quantum physics is the study of the fundamental nature of the universe. Still it works in tandem with the Einsteinian Relativity Theories and with a knowledge of general science such as the FOUR fundamental forces of Electromagnetism, Gravity, Weak and Strong Nuclear forces which govern radiation and atomic bonding respectively.
A knowledge of classical science will always be beneficial in a student's studies.

Time Dilation is an amazing phenomenon in Classical Physics which every person on the planet should at least, try to understand.
Just the idea that you could travel in a spaceship near the speed of light and by the time you get back, your children will be 50 years older than you! Scary!
Linear Algebra:
Linear Algebra is fun, it really is... If you want to get into the quantum applications developing area of the sector you will need to know it. It's just a case of getting used to the matrix :)
